Emilia has arrived!!!

Emilia Claire Falkowski arrived on Friday, June 26th at 6:10 pm. She weighed 5 lbs, 9 oz and was 19 1/4 inches long (just a little peanut!!). I went into the hospital on Thursday night to be induced and, as promised, got Emilia on Friday. Unfortunately, it didn't go quite as planned. The VERY PAINFUL induction process went from Thursday at 7 pm until Friday at 5 pm when they decided it wasn't progressing enough and decided to do a C-Section. In addition, the "nerve block" they tried to give me so I could be awake for her arrival didn't take (I repeatedly told the Dr. I could feel his scalpel and "please don't cut me!!") so they had to give me a general anesthesia and John had to leave the room. I woke up later, very groggy, and verified she was a girl and that every thing was OK, then passed out again. I finally met Emilia at about 10 pm on Friday night and all is well. We were released from the hospital Monday and are home with John figuring out our new lives. I'll post some better pics in the next few days, so check back for updates!!

There's also a link on the right of the pictures taken of Emilia at the hospital.
